The Chisel is the lightest and fastest full-suspension cross country bike of all time. It is 18.4% lighter than the nearest competitor and delivers noticeably fierce performance. Thanks to the advanced kinematics and geometry of the Epic 8 combined with the innovative D'Aluisio Smartweld technology, riders on Speed Metal can get the best out of themselves between the tape or simply have an incredibly good time on their home trails.

SPEED METAL: D'Aluisio Smartweld not only gives the Chisel its low weight, but also its unrivalled handling and riding behaviour. Each aluminium tube has been specially shaped for its position in the frame and has different wall thicknesses. This means that we can utilise stiffness and compliance specifically for efficiency, comfort and control.

PROGRESSIVE METALCORE: The Chisel with 110 mm rear wheel travel in the Ride Dynamics Tune is related to the Epic 8, our racing machine for the World Cup. It shares performance features such as the advanced kinematics, the suspension with Ride Dynamics Tune and the progressive geometry honed in the World Cup. The Chisel handles varied terrain as light as a feather and inspires confidence so that riders can rock.

POWER METAL: Thanks to the geometry and kinematics of our World Cup-winning Epic 8, the Chisel surprises with incredible pedalling efficiency. This makes it the most efficient full-suspension XC bike made of aluminium. The steep seat angle positions the rider in the centre of the bike for optimum power transfer and the perfected Anti-Aquat reduces pedal kickback. The Chisel converts every watt at the pedals into maximum acceleration.

MORE GROOVE METAL: We have given the Chisel flexible struts for maximum suspension performance. This and the D'Aluisio Smartweld design with its weight savings reduce the maintenance effort of the rear triangle enormously. Extensive field and laboratory tests have shown that the Chisel has achieved the impossible. Until now, flex stays were mainly reserved for bikes made of carbon, but with its specially shaped aluminium, the Chisel can easily keep up in terms of efficiency, control and low weight.

NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel boasts a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the pivot point of the rocker, the main pivot and, in an absolutely innovative move, the bottom bracket shell. This saves additional material and weight compared to a traditional bike, where the pivot points and bottom bracket shell are welded onto the seat tube.
