Children's bikes are all about reinforcing and promoting the basic idea of riding a bike. The joy of riding - a concept, a feeling and an inspiration - formed as soon as children sit on the saddle and pedal for the first time. Because once the passion for cycling is awakened, nothing stands in the way of a great time outdoors with plenty of exercise and unforgettable experiences.

At Specialized, we know that more comfort opens the door to more riding fun. However, due to children's growth spurts, the perfect-fit kids' bike to date has only come with a short-lived "just right." Our development team researched and found that the arms and legs of children ages 5-12 grow faster than the torso. So we needed to design a bike that was proportionally adjustable to hold the perfect fit for a longer period of time - stage set for the Jett.

We designed the Jett Multispeed to be uniquely adjustable, with a longer seatpost, adjustable crank and adjustable handlebars, so kids can still find the perfect riding position, even as they grow.
Every detail of the Jett Multispeed - including the 130mm bridge saddle, smaller diameter grips and short, tool-free adjustable brake levers - was developed using Retül data from a children's research group to be perfectly tuned for kids.
A lightweight bike is just more fun, and the Jett Multispeed, with its A1 aluminum frame, lightweight fork, Pathfinder tires and 7-speed drivetrain, is one of the lightest kids bikes on the market.
