This ULTEGRA group has the ST-R8170/BR-R8170 model, which is designed for use in road cycling. The ST-R8170 brake lever and BR-R8170 brake calipers are connected by the SM-BH90-JK-SSR brake line, and the recommended rotor is the RT-MT800. The brakes use SERVO-WAVE technology and have adjustable brake lever travel and integrated tool-free grip width adjustment. The brake levers have a closed clamp design and are made of aluminum, while the caliper mounts are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and the calipers are made of aluminum, both with two pistons.
